All About Bad Breath
Bad Breath (Halitosis) and its Causes
Bad Breath, halitosis, oral malodor,
whatever you want to call it is a condition which has plagued a large section
of the worldwide population for centuries. This condition is one that is not
only embarrassing to the person affected but also those persons close to them
and are not sure how to deal with it. The condition affects the ‘sufferer’ not
only physically but it also has a very significant psychological impact on the
afflicted person. Some persons become recluses because they are so embarrassed
by this condition.
The well-respected
online forum, WebMD, in its article Dental Health and Bad Breath says the following about bad breath:
“Bad breath, medically called halitosis, can result from poor dental
health habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Bad breath can also be made worse by the types of foods you eat and
other unhealthy lifestyle habits.”
The article also goes on to reinforce some of the common causes of bad breath,
namely what you eat and poor dental hygiene:
“How Does What You Eat Affect Breath?
Basically, all the food eaten
begins to be broken down in your mouth.
If you eat foods with strong odors (such as garlic or onions), brushing
and flossing -- even mouthwash -- merely covers up the odor temporarily. The
odor will not go away completely until the foods have passed through your body.
Why Do Poor Habits Cause Bad
Breath?
If you don't brush and floss teeth
daily, food particles can remain in your mouth,
promoting bacterial growth between teeth,
around the gums, and on the tongue.
This causes bad
breath.
Antibacterial mouth
rinses also can help reduce bacteria.
In addition, odor-causing bacteria
and food particles can cause bad
breath
if dentures are not properly cleaned.”
Additionally, it is not commonly known, but
smoking or chewing tobacco based, or other plant material including marijuana,
can also cause bad breath and even affect your ability to taste food.If someone has persistent bad breath (malodour) or a bad taste in the mouth this may very well be a warning sign of periodontal (gum) disease. The gum disease is caused when you have a buildup of plaque on the teeth. Bacteria then causes toxins to form, which results in irritation of the gums. If this periodontal (gum) disease persists untreated, damage to the gums and jawbone will result.
WebMD also identifies other dental conditions
which may cause bad breath include poorly fitting dental appliances (dentures
etc.), yeast infections
of the mouth, and dental cavities.
The WebMD website also highlights that the medical
condition dry mouth
(also called xerostomia) can also cause bad breath. This is because the saliva
is necessary to moisten the mouth, neutralize acids produced by plaque, and
wash away dead cells that accumulate on the tongue, gums, and cheeks. If this
does not occur and the dead cells remain in the mouth these dead cells will decompose
and can cause bad breath. The condition of Dry mouth
may also be a side effect of medications
taken to treat various conditions, salivary gland problems,
or continuous breathing through the mouth.
The potential causes of bad breath also include
numerous diseases and illnesses. These include, but are not limited to:
respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia
or bronchitis,
chronic sinus
infections, postnasal drip, diabetes,
chronic acid reflux,
and liver
or kidney
problems.
As
was said before, bad breath, also called halitosis, can be very embarrassing
and in some cases, may even cause severe anxiety. Because of this we are faced
with the reality where store shelves are overflowing with gum, mints,
mouthwashes and other products which it is claimed are designed to fight bad
breath. But many of these products are only temporary measures because they
don't address the cause of the problem; and some don’t address the problem at
all.
Certain
foods, a myriad of health conditions and our own unhealthy habits are among the
many causes of bad breath. In many cases, bad breath can be improved with
consistent proper dental hygiene. If these simple techniques don't solve the bad
breath problem, a dentist or physician should be consulted to ensure a more
serious medical condition isn't the cause of the bad breath.
Because
of the devastating effect this condition has on persons there have been
countless numbers of solutions that have been developed and marketed over the
years.
Manufacturers
have created and presented their own bad breath cure or relief, marketing their
claims of the benefits to be gained from their product. However, bad breath
sufferers have learnt that as each new product hits the market with the
companies claiming their own exclusive proprietary formula it has become harder
to distinguish what is an outright scam, what is a possible temporary solution
or what is actually a premium product with actual positive benefits.
Persons
have, over the years, spent hundreds, and in some cases thousands of dollars
trying to find a solution to the malady of bad breath. These solutions have
been presented in many forms, whether mouthwashes, toothpastes, supplements,
cleansing etch. These have come in many forms.
Because
of these experiences, over the years, the organization, Consumer Review dealt
with the issue in their publication on their website www.consumerreview.org at http://consumereview.org/bad-breath/is-your-bad-breath-and-bo-treatment-effective/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=BB%20INFO&utm_term=bad%20breath%20cause&utm_content=Causes%20-%20Exact
In this article, they stated the following:
“We decided it was time to analyze them ourselves to find out which products were
sub-par, which were flat-out lying about what was even in their pills, and
which, if any, might actually be worth a try.
As we rounded up all
of the big brands in the industry, we could see straight off the bat which
companies were only there to make a quick buck.”
The Consumer Review
went on to report the following findings:
·
“Most bad breath or body odor remedies do not contain what’s
actually on the label.
·
In addition, we found that most companies who claim to have effective
proven ingredients, actually don’t have. Furthermore, they include many
irrelevant extras. This is disheartening and makes it difficult for the
consumer to know which manufacturers are lying and which are telling the truth.
It’s hard to believe,
but most companies slap on a label that says ‘Bad Breath or Body
Odor Remedy’, often without even mentioning how much of each ingredient is
in each formula or without actually including the amount they claim.”
It was in
this environment and the desire to find a solution balanced by the uncertainty
of what the results may be that the Bad Breath Report was developed,
published and marketed.
The Bad Breath Report
Dr. Paul Keyes, Professor of
Periodontology, Temple University is credited with saying the following about the Bad Breath Report:
"If people take the advice (in this
special report), they can quickly eliminate their bad breath problem… and
should enjoy excellent dental health for an entire life-time."
The Bad Breath Report,
which is a product sold online through ClickBank, and the website www.tinyurl.com/2fdko3k states the fact, in the opening statements,
that United States have developed the solution to bad breath. To quote, the Bad
Breath Report website states:
“Miracle bad breath cure discovered by top US government scientists
eliminates halitosis in just 3 days.”
The Bad Breath Report (which may be
referred to as The Report) also claims that: You can make the same 'secret formula' at home with
stuff you can get at your local supermarket for less than $2… and finally get
rid of bad breath once and for all— even if everything else you've tried
has failed!
Do not fool yourself, the Bad Breath Report is not a normal
‘report’ with just a set of facts or discoveries, it is a product for sale like
any other product. It is not free
information. It however tries to differentiate itself by being steeped in
facts and factual scientific findings. These include the following as stated on
the website:
·
Bad breath
is considered the most unattractive personal feature you can have, bar
none (not even stale body odor!)
A few years back, the British Dental Association in England commissioned a public survey in which bad breath was rated as the MOST
unattractive feature any person could possibly have. It even beat stale
body odor to the top of the list! And the results were the same for all
sexes and age groups; there was no variation whatsoever. Everybody was equally
repulsed by it!
Think
about why that might be so: Even if you have it yourself, do you like to be
near other people with bad breath? You might otherwise like them enough
to try to ignore it… but your brain simply won't let you.
US government scientists discovered a simple & effective cure for bad
breath more than 40 years ago. Back in the early 1970s, scientists
at the National
Institutes of Health (NIH), which is part of the U.S.
Government's Department of Health, published a series of discoveries they made
about bad breath in obscure scientific journals (which are usually only read by
other scientists!).
Put simply, what they found was
this: About 90% of all bad breath cases have a single cause, and, for people in
this group, the NIH scientists literally fell over a specific combination of common household ingredients that eliminated
the bad breath problem an incredible 96 times out of 100!
Think about it, if these claims are
proven to be true this could be the solution that many persons have seeking to
an age-old problem, and in an accessible and affordable way. This would be
truly amazing and certainly worth exploring. This is particularly appealing and
intriguing because like many people I have friends and relatives who suffer from
this malady, and are constantly embarrassed by it. Could this truly be the
answer?
The author of The Report, Tomas O'Caomhanach, was convinced of this and using the research
of the NIH as a starting point, was able to devise a technique, which has since
been updated, and even include more recent research as well. This new compound,
or whatever you want to call it, works rapidly and gives the user almost
immediate relief from bad breath. It also claims that “…And, instead of merely masking symptoms (like most other bad breath
treatments), this simple 4-step
procedure actually eliminates the root-cause of bad breath and provides specific
recommendations to prevent the problem from ever coming back.”
What is even better, is that the product is not a
physical product you buy and have delivered, but rather the formula to a
compound you mix yourself with easily obtained, everyday ingredients, which you
may already have. It is estimated that the cost to produce this mixture should
be no more than $2. So not only is it inexpensive but you do this quickly… no
waiting for your order to be filled and the shipment to arrive.
The Author of The Report, Tomas
O'Caomhanach, on
the website, provides a summary of the report including some of the causes of
bad breath as well as the results
after use. These are:
The Causes of Bad Breath and How it Affects Persons
“Bad breath, which is also known as halitosis, is full of
unhealthy (and potentially-dangerous) chemical compounds that combine to
produce the odor we recognize as bad breath. However, they are pretty smelly by
themselves too. Some of the most common "ingredients" found in bad
breath are…
- Hydrogen sulfide, which smells like rotten eggs;
- Methyl mercaptan and skatole, which smell like feces;
- Cadaverine, which smells like corpses;
- Putrescine, which smells like rotten meat; and
- Isovaleric acid, which smells like sweaty feet!
Note that these chemicals are all given off
by things that can cause disease or infection. And that's exactly how the human
brain sees them too. In fact, for that very reason, it has evolved to recognize
their distinctive smells instantly, and, when it does, it switches to
'survival mode' right away, and literally FORCES your body to isolate itself
from whatever it sees as the source of danger.
It does that by making you recoil (to move you away), scrunching the
nose up (to constrict the nasal
passages, blocking any further noxious smells), and by making you gag (to prevent you swallowing anything).
If you do inhale or swallow too much of those chemicals, you then feel
nauseated, and may even vomit (to
remove them from your body). In other words, you feel physical
disgust!
If you have bad breath, that reaction
probably sounds familiar! Other people turn away… step back… and cover their
nose and mouth when you're nearby because the 'contents' of your breath are literally
sickening them! Even if they personally like you, their brain sure doesn't –
instead, it actually sees you as a DANGEROUS THREAT to their health and
well-being… maybe even their life!”
The Report, as you can see, is very graphic in its
description of this condition. But guess what, this is what is required for
persons to take the ‘bull by the horn’ and deal with it, for your sake and the
sake of those you interact with.
It however goes on to state the results from the use of
this mixture:
- fresh smelling breath,
- strong healthy teeth, and
- a sparkling white smile…
Have a look at this video for
an overview of The Report.
This book, which is a relatively
short 70 pages long, should take you no longer than approximately one (1) hour to
read. Note however almost all you may need to know to treat bad breath symptoms
are in the first 40 or so pages, so it’s an easy read. Thereafter, it’s totally up to you. Your life
can be changed so much if you follow the instructions carefully.
However, if you do as you are instructed
and it does not work you may be one of the less than 5% of persons who have
more serious problems and have to consult their dentist or physician. Do not
delay.
In addition to the ‘remedy’ covered
in The Report it also provides information on the following which will improve
both you dental and overall health in addition to improving your self-esteem:
- 5 simple things you can do today that can rid you of bad breath, even before you try the treatment! At the very least, this will slash your problem in half!
- Brushing and flossing your teeth is good for you, but it will NOT improve your bad breath… find out why.
- How to get rid of the ugly white coating on your tongue… without scraping! (Also find out why scraping your tongue will NOT get rid of the white coating… even if you scrape until it bleeds!)
- A scientifically-proven way to eliminate mouth ulcers and canker sores for good… even if you have been plagued by them since childhood!
- Why you should NEVER use commercially available toothpaste! Recent scientific studies prove that most of them contain harsh chemicals that cause huge damage inside your mouth.
- A commonly used (and expensive) bad breath treatment that is recommended by so-called "experts" that, not only makes your bad breath more serious than before, but also screws up your overall health too!
- The one critical secret to wiping out your bad breath forever… that nobody else tells you about.
The Report, is easily downloaded on your computer tablet
or smartphone in PDF format. With the high success rate of 96.03% and the
amount of information provided the promotional cost of $29.95 is more than
reasonable. Just go to www.tinyurl.com/2fdko3k and order. You have everything gain and very
little to lose.
That being said, there are the approximately 10% of the
sufferers of bad breath who will find this method does not work. This is
because their bad breath problem is caused by more complicated medical issues
such as:
·
Severe post nasal drip
·
Gastro-oesophageal reflux
·
Respiratory Tract infection
·
Chronic infections of the nose, sinuses and throat
·
Liver disease
·
Kidney disease
·
Diabetes
·
Chemotherapy
·
Hormonal changes
·
Eating disorders
The bad breath sufferer may be aware they have one of
these conditions and that it could potentially contribute to bad breath, or
they may not. The use of the compound may therefore have little or no effect.
If the user notices no change they may have one of these conditions and should
consult a physician, for the appropriate treatment. It should also be noted
that the remedy as promoted in The Report is not suitable for children or
animals. In these cases, the physician or veterinarian should be consulted.
Cost and Guarantees
The cost of The Bad Breath Report is $29.95. Just go to www.tinyurl.com/2fdko3k, sign up, pay the fee and download your
file; it’s that easy...to start. Then you need to follow through by not only
reading the book but also implement as recommended.
It is however recognized that there a
small percentage of persons for whom this solution will not work. With that in
mind there is a 60-day money back guarantee. To avail yourself of this facility
an email should be sent to Tomas O'Caomhanach, the author of the report
within 60 days of the purchase, with a brief narrative explaining how you used
the product, the result and your receipt number. If it really didn’t work and
didn’t help you your funds will be refunded. By doing this the author is
standing behind his product and ensuring that serious purchasers stand no risk
by purchasing something that can truly not help because of their own personal
situation. High marks for this.
One point made in the report is
that almost all cases (96%) of bad breath cases have a similar cause of bad
breath which will be stopped with this remedy. You must however mix and combine
the product, as recommended, and use it. Having used it, after a very
short time, and in some cases, as early as overnight you will see a difference.
Your life will be changed for the better; no more ‘funky’ smell, no more
embarrassment. It will be like you are a new person.
